Job Title: Academy Trainer
Description
This is position will be based in the London office, with travel to run courses globally.

Summary:

Our client runs “live”, small-group training courses from 1 to 5 days

The courses appeal to senior level executives from a wide variety of sectors including project developers, banks and insurers, governments and NGOs. They combine the teaching of technological, scientific and economic principles with a uniquely commercial, industry-relevant approach which differentiates them from the more commonly practical, installation-focused training companies out there.

The role will involve:

• Researching and keeping up-to-date with the latest developments across our sector
• Developing training materials and presenting “live” training courses to our audiences, with the style and quality expectations associated with our brand.
• Contributing to the on-going market research, topic development and forward planning of the Academy, including new products as and when market opportunity dictates.

Background and experience required:

• The ability to research and understand, distil and summarise a wide volume and variety of information sources,
• A continuing willingness to learn,
• A good basic background in scientific principles,
• A strong commercial and profit-driven ethic,
• A willingness to travel (worldwide and occasionally at weekends),
• A flexible and helpful approach to work, including working hours,
• Office software skills: in particular Powerpoint; but also Excel & Word,
• Experience and confidence in presenting to live audiences,
• Excellent interpersonal skills, projecting the Academy brand in a friendly, efficient and business-like manner.

Desirable attributes of candidates would be:

• Previous experience of developing and delivering training,
• Fluency in another language.
