A prestige dealership based in County Durham is looking for a professional, dynamic and highly motivated Parts Manager to join their operation. You will be joining a very well established, profitable and busy dealership. You will be responsible for ensuring the parts department is managed in a professional manner, whilst delivering a high level of customer satisfaction. As well as planning, controlling and monitoring processes you will also manage and develop the team.
The Role
* You will be responsible for managing and overseeing a small team of around 7 ensuring effective and efficient organisation throughout the parts department. This includes staff welfare and discipline, staff holidays, return to work interviews and recruitment
* Maintaining existing trade parts accounts and developing new business channels through regular liaison with new and existing customers
* Developing budgets to achieve sales and financial targets and control costs to ensure adequate resourcing of the parts department within budgetary limits
* To maintain parts stockholding at agreed levels to ensure first time availability of parts to all customers
* Organising and administering stock check procedures on a regular basis ensuring these are monitored to minimise obsolete stock
* You must be fully conversant with the procedures of the parts department and fully aware of the usual trading terms of the dealership
* To achieve the set purchase targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
* To ensure all customers are dealt with promptly and courteously. As well as administer and resolve all customer parts enquiries and complaints in a competent manner
* To ensure that the parts departments work area is kept to a high standard of cleanliness
* To ensure that the procedures for handling cash, cheques and accounts are fully adhered to
