My client is a well established gastro pub of very high standard; simply the best in the area!
They currently have a traditional pub side with great local beers and a restaurant with terrace offering great scenic’s of the countryside. The restaurant can serve 70 to 300 covers on a busy Sunday. They have a loyal local discerning clientele but are also a destination restaurant.
The Head chef is coming from a very fine dining background having worked in high quality Michelin star restaurants and Relais & Chateaux hotel.
Due to their success, we are now recruiting a Sous Chef with a view to open their next outlet in project.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Sous Chef who is an enthusiastic person with a great personality, committed and well presented, who enjoys interaction with customers. You must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to work under pressure and be able to organize and assist the Manager at any time.
Ideally, you will have worked in fine dining restaurants with Rosettes or Michelin standard.
A good understanding of gastro pub (fine dining in a casual environment) is essential.
This is a hand on position and will suit someone who leads by example.
Required experience for the Sous Chef:
- Two years experience minimum at similar level
- Ideally, you will have worked in fine dining restaurants with Rosettes or Michelin standard.
- A good understanding of gastro pub (fine dining in a casual environment) is essential.
- Fine dining experience an advantage
- Fluent English is essential
- Business control
- Coaching and assisting your team to help them achieve results
